Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of WhatsMyContract (whatsmycontract.com), operated by Garnet Grid Consulting LLC. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Not Legal Advice
WhatsMyContract provides AI-powered contract analysis for informational and educational purposes only. The analysis, summaries, risk flags, and plain-language explanations provided by this tool do not constitute legal advice, and do not create an attorney-client relationship. For contracts with significant legal or financial consequences, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before signing.
2. Use of Service
You may use WhatsMyContract for personal and commercial purposes within the limits of your plan. You agree not to:
- Submit another person's confidential legal documents without authorization
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent usage limits through automated requests
- Use the tool for any unlawful purpose
- Resell or redistribute access to the service without written permission
3. Accuracy Disclaimer
AI-based contract analysis has limitations. Our engine may not identify every risk, may mischaracterize clauses in highly specialized legal contexts, or may miss jurisdiction-specific nuances. We provide the best available analysis but make no warranty of completeness or accuracy. Always treat the output as a starting point for review, not a final determination.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the contract text you submit. The WhatsMyContract name, logo, analysis methodology, and interface are proprietary to Garnet Grid Consulting LLC.
6. Limitation of Liability
Garnet Grid Consulting LLC shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on the contract analysis provided by this service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding any claim.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and provide a written description of the dispute. We will attempt good-faith resolution within 30 days. Disputes not resolved informally within that period shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules. Class action participation is expressly waived.
8. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to WhatsMyContract at any time for violation of these Terms, abuse of the analysis tool, fraudulent activity, or non-payment. You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid amounts.
9. Jurisdictional Variation and AI Limitations
Contract law varies significantly by jurisdiction. The same clause language can carry different legal weight in New York versus California versus Texas — or between US and UK law. WhatsMyContract applies general contract interpretation principles and does not account for jurisdiction-specific statutes, case law, or regulatory overlay. Non-compete enforceability, for example, ranges from unenforceable (California) to broadly enforced (Florida) based on state statute alone. Before relying on any analysis for a contract governed by a specific jurisdiction, consult legal counsel familiar with that jurisdiction's current standards.
10. Modifications to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide notice to registered users via email before the changes take effect. Continued use of WhatsMyContract after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance.
11. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Garnet Grid Consulting LLC regarding WhatsMyContract.
